Mā Al-Akhbār? · ما الأخبار؟

Terms & Conditions

Effective October 28, 2026 · Seller: Laetitia Qabbani-Rouget

1. Who provides the service

Mā Al-Akhbār? (ما الأخبار؟) is an Arabic-learning service provided by Laetitia Qabbani-Rouget (the “seller”, “we” or “us”). You contract with Laetitia Qabbani-Rouget for access to the learning service, subject to the payment reseller terms below. By using or continuing to use the service, you agree to these terms. You must be legally able to enter this agreement or have the necessary permission from your parent or guardian.

2. Accounts and learning access

Keep your account details accurate and your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for activity under your account. We grant a limited, personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the learning materials within your access level. The free experience includes all published lesson texts and summaries, original-report links, tapped-word translations and three flashcards per lesson. Premium provides the additional vocabulary, learning activities and labs described on our plans page. AI activities are subject to usage limits.

3. Trials, payments and subscriptions

Eligible new users can start a seven-day Premium trial by providing payment details and selecting a plan. There is no subscription charge during the trial. Unless cancelled before the trial ends, the selected plan automatically charges US$9 per month or US$79 per year and renews at that frequency until cancelled. Checkout confirms the first charge amount and date before you agree. One trial is permitted per person, account and email address.

Manage or cancel through My subscription. Cancelling during the trial prevents its automatic conversion if completed before the trial ends; cancelling a paid subscription stops future renewals, with access continuing through the paid period. Losing Premium access does not itself delete your account, learning progress or saved vocabulary.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Payment, billing, tax, cancellation and refund mechanics are governed by Paddle’s Buyer Terms. See our Refund Policy for refund requests.

4. Acceptable use

Do not use the service unlawfully or for fraud, spam, harassment, hate speech, illegal content, deceptive deepfakes or infringement of other people’s rights. Do not upload malware, probe or interfere with security, scrape the service without permission, bypass access or usage limits, jailbreak AI safeguards, reverse engineer restricted software or resell the service or its learning materials.

5. Intellectual property and your content

Laetitia Qabbani-Rouget retains ownership of the service and its original software, documentation, learning materials and branding. Linked publishers retain their rights in their reporting and broadcasts; a link does not give you permission to reproduce their work.

You retain your rights in writing, recordings and other content you submit, and give us a limited licence to process that content solely to provide the service and feedback. You must have the rights to your inputs. We do not claim ownership of your AI outputs; any rights you may have depend on applicable law, and outputs may not be unique or free of third-party rights. You are responsible for checking outputs before using or sharing them.

Rights holders can report alleged infringement through Paddle purchase support, identifying Mā Al-Akhbār and Laetitia Qabbani-Rouget and requesting that the report be passed to the seller. Include the material’s location, the right involved and supporting details. We may restrict or remove disputed material and suspend accounts for repeated or serious infringement.

6. AI feedback and service availability

Translations, summaries and AI feedback can contain mistakes. You are responsible for your prompts, verifying accuracy and how you use outputs. This is a language-learning tool, not a source of regulated professional advice; do not rely on it for legal, medical, financial or other professional decisions without appropriate oversight. We may filter or refuse outputs, remove or restrict inappropriate content and suspend misuse.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free performance. To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is provided without implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms removes mandatory consumer rights.

7. Suspension, termination and changes

We may suspend or terminate access for a material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated or serious policy violations. We may change the service or these terms and will communicate material subscription changes before they apply where required by law. The effective date above identifies this version. Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Notice.
